چکیده

In this study, an electrochemical sensor for the monitoring of Hg (II) at trace levels by using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry has been reported. Basically is a Phanerochaete chrysosporium-based carbon paste electrode. Here, chrysosporium played new vital role in detection heavy metal apart from its known contribution their removal. Optimal voltammetric response was observed −0.7 V deposition potential l, 5% biomass concentration ratio (w/w), and neutral pH conditions with 12 min as accumulation time. Selectivity evaluated presence different interfering cations. Linear range 5–50 µgL−1 limit 4.4 µgL−1. The equivalence reference analytical methods statistically assessed mercury samples collected chlor-alkali industrial effluent correlation results (Pearson’s product-moment correlation), weighted Deming regression analysis, paired comparison test, relative standard deviation (RSD), median error (MRE), root mean square (RMSE), predicted residual sum (PRESS). This work presented simple, efficient, promising tool level (II), compared to previously reported electrodes based on biological material.
